Pembroke Early Education Program

Program (P.E.E.P.) is a Prevention Initiative Program that provides coordinated services to families and their children ages birth to three.

Pembroke Early Education Program helps parents to understand child development and connect parents to resources they would need to make the best choices for their families. Our program offer personal visits customized for the needs of each family.

Pembroke Early Education Program will provide a proven home visiting model ‘Parents as Teachers’ that serves the needs of all families. Parents as Teachers helps our Parent Educators work with families during the critical early years of their children’s lives, from conception to Pre-kindergarten and the results are powerful.

Achievements/Success Stories: We continue to make exciting progress in the area of Prevention Initiative Training for our 32 Pembroke families. Recently completed the IAL “Dolly Parton Imagination Library (2012-2013), participated in the Erickson Institute study,which revealed our program as quality programming for rural parents (2011), and P.E.E.P has received a Parents as Teachers(ISBE) quality endorsement for program excellence and services to families (2014). Currently participating in a state wide research project based on principles of cognitive-behavior therapy and mental health. The Parents’ feedback has been critical in shaping the successes of the program. We acknowledge efforts by celebrating each positive step that benefits infants, toddlers and our families in Pembroke.
