Greetings District #259 Parents,
This message is to inform you that a report was made to the District that a person within our School tested positive for COVID-19. As a result, all impacted parties who have been considered to be a close contact have been notified and have been directed to quarantine for 10 days. If your child experiences any of the COVID-19 symptoms, please seek medical attention. In addition, please contact District Office to notify us at 815-944-5448. We anticipate that all students and staff will return from Spring Break as planned on Monday, April 5, 2021.

For students that are currently in the building for in-person instruction Friday (March 26, 2021) is Picture Day. Also during this time, 8th Graders will be taking cap and gown photos. Students are allowed to dress out of uniform for their pictures. All Picture Order Forms have already gone home with the students.

A huge thank you to the Brothers of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. for coming out to read to our students in grades PreK- 3rd. Our students were extremely excited and engaged. Each student was given a coloring book and will also receive a packet of books to go home with them next week!

We look forward to welcoming our students and staff back into the building tomorrow, Wednesday, February 17th for a normal day of learning. Parent, please be cautious of students getting on and off of the buses. If you live on a rough road, it might be helpful to bring the student to the top of the road for pick up.

Due to the ongoing Winter Weather Watch and hazardous road condition, Tuesday, February 16, 2021 will be a Remote Learning Day for all students and staff. We will continue to monitor conditions.

REMINDER... Friday, February 12th is a School Improvement Day. Students will be dismissed at 1 PM. Also, Monday, February 15th is President's Day, and there will be no school for students or staff.

Due to inclement weather and extremely hazardous road conditions Friday, February 4th will be a Remote Learning Day for all students and staff. For those families that would like breakfast and lunch, meals can be picked up from the school between 9 AM and 11 AM at the main entrance.

We will resume face-to-face learning as well as Remote Learning for the students that will be learning from home. Buses will be doing pick up at the normal time. Remember, that tomorrow we begin our 3:15 PM dismissal for all students.
