Mr. Holliday’s 6th Grade Media Class
Students in Mr. Holliday’s 6th Grade Media class at Lorenzo R. Smith learned about aperture and depth of field in photography. Students interacted with an interactive website that allowed them to explore how different camera settings affect photographs.
They learned how to adjust the aperture and exposure to create different effects, including close-up photography and long-distance photography. Students were able to see how changing the aperture affects what is in focus and how much of the scene is visible. This hands-on activity helped students understand how photographers use camera settings to control the look and feel of an image.
